Fall Festivities and Halloween!

Halloween is a fantastic Holiday for Creativity.  The costumes, decorations and games are all just so fun!
Its also probably my favorite time of year.  The temperature is perfect, the colors, amazing and CANDY is everywhere (:
I met up with my friend from Chicago at the local (1 hour away) Pumpkin Patch.  Basically a Photo Opp.
 The Brothers!
Its still weird for me not to have Brooklyn posing for these photos!
But here she is in all her glory for Fall Festival for her school where they dressed up as Scarecrows.

On Friday, I decided that there weren't any Halloween parties on Saturday, so I was going to throw one!
I tried to keep things healthy - at least for the beginning of the party.
We did Pumpkin Bowling
 with TP Ghosts
Played Pin the Spider on the Cobweb
Decorated Caramel Apples

At the end, we had a Pinata of course because what would a Clark Party be without one of those?
And had fun decorating treat bags and our house!
Now I need to go finish making Costumes!

Brooklyn's 6th Birthday

Brooklyn is blossoming into an amazing child.  She has started Kindergarten, adjusted wonderfully to another new home, and thriving in school and socially.
6 is a big year and we can't wait to see what she learns and how she grows this upcoming year.
We started it with a typical Brooklyn Birthday and went all out!

Brooklyn helped with the cake decorating.  Thanks to the Harris family for the Music Box/Cake Topper!
I loved this touch.  Great idea from - guess where?!  PINTRIST

The Treasure Hunt:
Everything had to Ryme of course.  Unfortunatley a month later, some of the cars with the hints are nowhere to be found.  Maybe I'll find them and update them, but I only have the last few.  We also don't have a ton of picutures of the actual hunt with so many kids running through the neighborhood...
But we started on the trampoline and they got their wings, tutus and bags
Its a tradition that we do a treasure hunt for Brooklyn's birthday, and I love it!
"Oh My, Oh My! Have Pirates been here?
The Character that fairies most terribly fear?
A trail of coins upon the ground, must be leading to treasures to be found!"
"What's this?  A bunch of fairy Dust? (Sparkles)
The Pirates must have taken the jewels!
The fast flying fairies are the ones to call,
We mustn't be taken for fools!
Run to the park to find the fliers
and spin them high in the air.
They'll fly up high and find those guys
and all will be made to be fair!

At the Park
After the treausure hunt, we came back and painted fairy houses - my sister Brooke's idea (She helps me plan all of Brooklyn's Birthdays).
I was amazed at the concentration of these girls!  They loved the idea that they could put them somewhere and the fairies would come at night and visit their houses!
Becca helped write the names of their fairies and or notes to their fairies on cute cards.
Cute right!
The final products!
The Contributors:
So glad Trey was there - he was glad I didn't pull him into any of the planning or execution this time
I was so lucky to have our dear friend and Brooklyn's Favorite Babysitter with us from Utah!
Brooklyns forever best friends - even if she doesn't know it still
And of course the party wouldn't have been possible without these adorable little girls!
We are so glad to have such wonderful friends here in our new home!

Jude's Birthday

So I'm pretty proud of my self for this one.  It was pulled off in a day of planning and quite a hit!
Jude turned 3.  Still won't tell you that when you ask him, but he'll put 3 fingers up - most of the time (:
He is adorable and sweet as any kid could be.  We love his energy and enthusiasm.  You should see him on the jumpy gym, swimming, biking and running!
We started out in the Jumpy Gym where there is action and toys for all ages and stages.  We love having this open every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday morning!  It is an amazing perk to living in this apartment!
The Birthday Boy doing what he does best!

Then the reptile Man Arrived!

Our apartment complex has this guy come in twice a year and it just happened to be right around Jude's Birthday.  I took that bait and ran with the theme as fast as I would if I saw one of these guys anywhere but here!
The kids were enthralled!
It was a small enough group where the kids could all hold and touch all the animals if they wanted to.
Both my kids were all over it! Others were more cautious

Isn't this cool!
This guy keeps these reptiles in his basement.  They are his pets!

This snake could have eaten these kids whole!
This thing carried me around!
If I were to get any of these as pets, it would be this one though!  It just eats grass and lives forever!  And you can ride it!  There must be a catch...
After we held, rode and touched the animals, we headed upstairs for some reptile snacks and games!
I was proud of how simple I kept things.  I ordered Subway to be delivered and made it into a snake,
Got some Frog plates from the dollar store
And decorated cupcakes for a turtle cake!
My amazing friend Kjirsti came through on the Birthday banner once again.  Thank you!!
 Then it was PINATA TIME!
A Reptile EGG of Course!
Vera made it to the party at the end.
Thanks for all who came!  We love our friends here in Chicago!
Thanks to everyone who made it so great - especially Regents who made it so easy for me!
